August is here!

Man they said June was the hottest in 53 years and July's heat never made the top 10 in temps! Crazy I seemed to sweat just as much in July as I did in June! Plenty of motorcycling stuff going on this month.

Coming up the weekend of August 10th through the 12th is the BSA Owners of America Motorcycle Club Vintage Trials and Reliability Run! This is an awesome three day event with bikes and parts sales, a Reliability Run and a Vintage Trials meet. I ran the Reliability Run a couple of years ago and decided to take the hardest section and to this day I still haven't forgotten how rough it was. This year I am hoping to take my XR 100 and refit different wheels and knobbies and do this run. Plenty of hills..going down is a lot harder than going up!

 The Vintage Trials is always a blast. You'll see some old two strokes with twin shocks making the rounds with some very good local riders on them. I hear there's a band and for first time vendors the fee is free!

 Coming up the following week is the Holy Grail of upper level motorcycling the Indy Moto GP and the Indy Mile. We'll be staying at our Super 8 in Greenfield just east of Indianapolis and looking to meet up with some old friends.

 Coming up this month is an interview with current ISDE participant Jimmy Jarrett as well as the sights and sounds from Indianapolis.
