Richard Snowden's revelation of a government program that can track or listen to every phone call made has caused true Obama believers to wonder what they signed on for?

Typically Obama believers have banked on the president taking care of the little guy and reigning in the power of big business.

I hear more callers daily, of the young variety, who are disillusioned with the Obama machine. GSA with a vacation in Vegas, IRS with a vacation in California, which we are un-sure of the cost because they can't locate the receipts, Benghazi, tracking reporters phone calls, calling Fox News' James Rosen a possible threat to security. It just keeps coming.

I am not so up-set about the whistle blower-Snoden, as I am about the expansion of government. Apparently a GSA with too much money, an IRS spending tax payer dollars on a  Star Trek Video,in essence out of touch with their customers. 

This all points to one axiom, government has to be downsized. Every time our government says no to the creation of a new program consider it a victory. 

As in your own world it's easy to sign up for the coffee of the month club, or Net Flicks but often you forget to cancel. Big government must be downsized weekly and yearly.

Who can argue with that premise? Yet it doesn't happen, so I must preach daily, do for your friends and family and vote for a congressman who longs to see his or her office staff shrink.

The hot topic this week has been should I stay or should I go?  To the surprise of almost everyone I talked to, Cardinal Mooney staying on it's South Side campus, rather than move out of the city of Youngstown and into suburban Mahoning County

Paraphrasing some of the comments I got,  If the bishop believes the mission is to take care and serve the inter city, why did he even consider the move? Good point it would seem the land search and market study would have been un-necessary. Most callers talked about security, and some talked about making a stand in the city, one saying "You can't keep fleeing to the suburbs for safety."  Some parents said staying in the city will cause them to ponder their decision to send their children to Mooney next year.

The "Inner city mission" is new to me. Myself a product of St. Anthony's grade school in Northwest, Ohio always thought the mission of the school was to serve the members of the church not the community at large.  Let me make one point on security. Lots of listeners called and said we have to make a stand and secure the area.

In practical terms that will be difficult. School functions and extra circular activities run late. The corridor between Market and South is arguably the highest crime area of our city. Just last night a shooting occurred at Market and Dewey less than a mile from the school. The night will come when students have to leave late with no security in sight. Securing the area and making a stand is one of those phrases that sounds good when you say it fast. Bottom line, I think their will be nervous parents waiting for their son's and daughters to return home daily, but what has changed.

Daniel Werfel acting IRS commissioner, says that his mission is to restore trust in the organization. The organization has employed a "Happiness expert" spent 4 million on an Anaheim conference and apparently targeted conservative groups for additional tax scrutiny. 

Group after group has testified that they are still waiting for their tax exempt status. If you are coming from my view point you agree with the view point of smaller government and fiscal conservatism-the stated goals of the "Tea Party movement. 

You disagree with leftist groups who have attained "Tax Free" status that live to cause a ruckus. The stated purpose of the 501c3 organization "The Ruckus Society" offers a training manual called "Beautiful Trouble" -A Tool box for Revolution, according to CNS.com a conservative news network. The tool box instructs how to take over intersections, give fake parking tickets to SUV's ownners, rip out ranchers fence and free livestock.

Juxtapose this group with the "Tea Party" groups you have heard speak in the Youngstown area. I myself heard a grocery store owner, tell how he was un-fairly picketed, I heard a dairy farmer talk about how hard it was to make ends meet, I heard a Veterinarian, who is also a reservist, talk about his love for this country. I heard a businessman running for congress and I myself have talked about the need to secure our borders.

Their is little argument that the "Tea-party" organizations have come from a grass roots effort to better America and restore fiscal sanity.

In the above examples you have two different messages, one is restore, build and make better and the former was destroy and apologize for American exceptionalism.

It is wrong to single out the conservative groups for scrutiny while allowing the progressive groups carte blanche. Having said all that, I think it's time to renounce most tax exempt status, left and right. It causes cheating and how much of it really deserves tax free status.

If it's all done away with the IRS argument will be moot. One more thing with the hearings being conducted now, this is the best chance we will ever have for sweeping tax reform. Are you ready for true tax reform where very few have to even file taxes, it will all be done for you because their will be no more loop holes?

Ya know what make me mad, you know what's got me galled to the point I am ready to go Commando?  The Communist Chinese have hooked us on cheap trinkets that we can't say no too. Now they're going for the beef and the pork too. China's largest meat producer just struck a deal  to buy Virginia's Smithfield foods for nearly $ 5 Billion.

This is the same Communist Chinese country that has sent us sub-standard Dry Wall and Pet Food. They tried to buy oil giants Conoco and Unocal but were thwarted. Now it may be too late, they hold more than a trillion dollars of our T Bills and we have little chance to pay them back without selling off assets. It looks like the sale has begun.

Do you trust the Communist Chinese or anyone else with our food supply?  They send us plastic and pot metal trinkets and we buy them. The Communist Chinese are now buying Iconic name brand companies like Smithfield, what's next American Airlines?

But that not what really has be chapped. These same Communist Chinese friends, in addition to smothering us with junk we don't knee are getting the to the really important stuff now.

The defense department just announced the Chinese Communist government has just hacked our computers and have stolen the plans for the  Aegis Ballistic -missile defense system, the 1.4 trillion dollar  F35, The F/A-18 fighter jet, a new combat ship, the V-22 Osprey and Black Hawk Helicopter.

Meanwhile we fight among ourselves, over Health Care, Benghazi, the IRS, Fast and Furious and the monitoring of Fox White House reporter Jim Rosen, because he might divulge an earth shaking secret. Wake up America,  what are we thinking, when is this country going to understand the Communist Chinese are hear to bankrupt us and hack our technology. I only pray we have have better hackers than they. For now the score stands the Chinese government $ 300 Billion a year in stolen software and the U. S. zero. Think before you buy.
