Dan grew up in Northwest Ohio. After graduation Dan worked in construction then went on to serve two tours of duty in Vietnam with MCB 62 and the Seabees. Dan was among the men who helped build a major bridge over the Dong Ha Rivers, which later had to be blown as the North Vietnamese streamed southward. The bridge was a recent topic on Ollie North's "War Stories".
After military service Dan attended Career Academy in Columbus which would be a stepping stone to a broadcasting career jobs in Delaware, Marysville, Coshocton, Toledo, Detroit and Youngstown. Dan graduated from Youngstown State in 1981 earning a BS in Advertising and public relations.
In Youngstown Dan has worked for WFMJ Radio, Channel 21, News Radio 570 WKBN, Jacor and Clear Channel Communications.
Today Dan is the mid-day talk host on 570 WKBN taking over for legendary talk host Dan Ryan. Dan is also Director of Operations for the Clear Channel cluster of stations in Youngstown.
Dan is deeply interested in the rebuilding of Youngstown and uses his talk show daily to encourage citizens to keep the faith, that the once proud Steel Town will rise again.
