Something else to hate about the left! A majority of Americans say they would risk a left hand turn across a busy highway, to save a nickel per gallon of gasoline. Translation, I will risk my life to save a buck. I might be able to give you a pass on the buck, but how many people risk their lives and others lives taking a left hand turn out of gas station?

I thought drivers education was required? Apparently someone needs to change the syllabus to include the danger of shooting across 3 lanes of traffic and making a left turn. I am not the worlds best driver (I have been told) but I am learning.

How many of the young and very old in your family insist on turning left against all odds? You see them, you watch them and breath a sign of relief when they make it unscathed, that's just before you quietly cuss them out under your breath.

They come in all ages but mostly the very youngest drivers and the oldest drivers. My favorite is a newbie turning left out of gas station, wedging between two lanes of traffic while talking on the cell and holding a cigarette. Yes it can be done, you just drive with your knees or thighs. 

If you or your kids are still turning left, stop it and join me on the right side.
